Nearly 6 million pounds of food. That's what our local Central Illinois
Foodbank distributes to 100-thousand people in need each year.
September is Hunger Action Month and an important reminder that the need
exists in Springfield year round. That's why Sprint is proud to partner with
Central Illinois Foodbank to help fill the shelves by hosting a food drive
during Customer Appreciation Weekend Friday, September 24 through Sunday,
September 26 at our Parkway Pointe store next to Wal-Mart.
Please bring non-perishable food, canned goods or a cash donation to your
participating local Sprint store during those three days, and we'll say
thank you with prizes and discounts during the football-themed event. If you
can't make it then, we are accepting donations through the end of the month.
It's a good time for a good cause. Together, we can work to end hunger in
Springfield and throughout Central Illinois.
